On December 26, the main event unfolds: the Unfold the Present GC 200,000,000 and SC 500,000 Guaranteed Finals. But there’s a catch—you won’t be able to just buy into this tournament. The only way in? Qualify in our Stage 1 events happening throughout December. Earn your seat in the Final, and you’ll start with a fresh chip stack and a guaranteed prize, ready to chase those Mystery Bounties the moment cards hit the felt.

HOW TO QUALIFY FOR THE FINALS

Here’s the lowdown on how to secure your seat to the GC and SC Finals. You can also check out our neat infographic for a quick breakdown. 

1: FREEROLLS, FEEDERS & SATELLITES

Starting November 17, we’ve got all the small entry buy-in options you need—daily freerolls, feeders, and satellites—to get yourself an entry into an Unfold the Present Stage 1 tournament. Check the game lobby for the full lineup and make sure you’re ready to roll.

2: UNFOLD THE PRESENT STAGE 1s

Bring your A-game to a Stage 1. This is your only chance to make it through to the Final. We’re running a number of Stage 1 tournaments throughout December, but you must qualify in one of these Stage 1 events to secure your spot. There will be no direct buy-ins to the Final. One in seven players will make it through to the Final, so show us what you’re made of!

Either buy in directly to the Stage 1 with GC 99,000 or SC 99—or use your Stage 1 entry from one of the freerolls, feeders or satellites.

3: GC 200,000,000 & SC 500,000 GUARANTEED FINALS!

26 December is the big day! Only those who qualified in the Stage 1 tournaments will get to battle it out in the GC and SC Finals. 

Everyone who qualifies will start with an even stack (no chips will be carried through from Stage 1), and everyone will be in the prizes—plus, you’ve got Mystery Bounties coming at you from the first elimination, so get ready to unwrap the action from the very first hand. Only those who’ve earned it will be there. Will you be one of them?

What is Unfold the Present? 
Unfold the Present is our Holiday Season GC and SC Main Event with a special edition tournament format. Throughout December players can enter our Stage 1 tournaments where 1 in 7 will win automatic Entry to the Unfold The Present Final on December 26. The Gold Coin and Sweep Coin Finals will have massive guaranteed prizepools of GC 200M and SC 500,000 respectively. All qualifiers for the Final start with an even 500,000 chip stack, will all be “in the prizes” and 50% of the prizepool will be awarded as Mystery Bounties from the start 

What are the dates and times of the different stages? 
Stage 1s will run Sundays at 19:00 Eastern December 1 - 22. There will also be a special “Christmas Eve Dash” Turbo Stage 1 at 17:00 Eastern on December 24 for those last minute players, plus at least three Stage 1s before the Final on December 26 for those yet to secure their seat at 15:00, 16:00 and 18:00 Eastern. The Final will take place December 26 at 20:00 Eastern. (Schedule subject to change, please check game lobby for up to date information)

What is the buy-in and are there rebuys or add ons? 
The Stage 1 buy-ins are GC 99K (90K+9K) and SC 99 (90+9). Players may enter using GC/SC or a Stage 1 Entry. There are no rebuys or add ons. Players may play as many Stage 1 tournaments as they like before they qualify for the Final, but each individual Stage 1 is a freezeout.

Can players enter the Final directly? 
No. Players may only qualify for the Final via a Stage 1.

Can I win an Entry into the Stage 1s via a freeroll or satellite? 
Yes! Satellites will run from November 17. Look out for Freerolls, Feeders and Satellites to suit all bankrolls including special ADDED seat games. Win your seat Stage 1 seat from as little 

Is late registration available?
In the Stage 1s late registration will be available for 6 levels. All qualifiers to the Final will be auto-registered from the start and not able to unregister so late registration to the Final is not possible.

Do I carry my chipstack through from the Stage 1 to the Final? 
No. All qualifiers will start the Final with a new, equal chip stack, regardless how many chips they ended with in the Stage 1.

How many players will qualify for the Final from each Stage 1? 
One Entry to the Final will be awarded for every GC 630K or SC 630 collected in the prizepool (1 in 7). Any remaining prizepool will be awarded in GC 99K/SC 99 prizes to those finishing just outside the qualifying positions for the Final.

Can I win prizes in the Stage 1? 
Winners of the Stage 1s will receive Entry to the Final only. Where the prizepool collected is not precisely divisible by 7 any remaining will be awarded in GC 99K/SC 99 prizes to those finishing just outside the qualifying positions for the Final. The full GC 200M/SC 500,000 guaranteed prizepool will be awarded in the Final

What prizes can I win in the Final? 
The Final will have a GC 200M/SC 500,000 guaranteed prizepool with 50% awarded according to finishing position and 50% via Mystery Bounties. All players in the Final are guaranteed the minimum prize (which will be determined once all Stage 1s are complete).

When will the Mystery Bounty prizes come into play? 
Mystery Bounty prizes will be awarded every time a player is eliminated from the start of the Final. No Mystery Bounty prizes will be awarded in any of the Stage 1s.

What happens if I can’t play the Final? 
All qualifiers from the Stage 1s will be automatically registered to the Final and unregistration will not be possible. Players who do not log in to play the Final will have their stack blinded off and be awarded a prize according to their finishing position.

Can I qualify for the Final more than once? 
No. Players may only enter the Final once and once they have qualified they will be blocked from playing future Stage 1s. Players should therefore not attempt to win a Stage 1 Entry if they have already qualified for the Final as they will not be able to use it.

What happens if I qualify for the Final more than once via concurrently running Stage 1 tournaments? 
In this case only, an appropriate alternative prize may be offered in exchange for additional Entries held at GP discretion.

How many Stage 1s can I play? 
Players can play as many Stage 1s as they like however they can only qualify for the Final once. Once they have qualified for the Final they will be blocked from playing future Stage 1s.

Can I play the whole event in one day? 
Yes. There will be several Stage 1s on December 26 before the Final, including a ‘Last Chance’ Stage 1 two hours before the Final.
